About the Role
WorkPac are seeking an Estimator to join a growing security technology business in an office-based position. This role is well suited to an experienced Estimator or a Security Technician seeking a transition into an estimating role. You will review drawings, interpret specifications, and prepare accurate and competitive proposals for commercial security projects. After a successful probation period, there is potential for occasional work-from-home flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret drawings, ground plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates
* Analyse material spreadsheets to support pricing and margin review
* Prepare detailed cost proposals for commercial and high-rise projects
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify scope
* Identify materials, labour and installation requirements through document review
* Ensure all quotes are accurate, professional and submitted within required timeframes
* Maintain strong communication with established client base to support ongoing relationships
Skills and Experience Required
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Minimum 2 years' experience within the security industry
* Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
* High attention to detail with strong numerical reasoning
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Desirable - Prior estimating experience (preferably within the security industry)
* Desirable - Security Technicians seeking to move off the tools are encouraged to apply
