What's in it for me?

The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is seeking a visionary executive to lead our development and delivery function for Infrastructure programs in the Planning Group. This is your chance to drive the end‐to‐end delivery of high‐impact infrastructure programs that unlock housing, support growth and leave a lasting legacy for communities across NSW.

The role

This role is about turning big infrastructure priorities into projects that actually get delivered. It leads the design and rollout of infrastructure programs—particularly open space and housing‐linked investment—making sure funding decisions are evidence‐based, well‐governed and aligned to Government goals around growth, productivity and liveability. The role works closely with the Executive Director, providing practical advice on emerging issues and keeping complex programs moving in a fast‐paced, highly sensitive environment.

It brings structure and momentum to delivery by setting up clear frameworks, prioritising investment pipelines, managing risk and guiding teams through multiple concurrent projects. Success in the role means balancing quality with pace, building strong cross‐government relationships, and ensuring programs are delivered with integrity, transparency and real impact for communities.
