Overview
Community Adult Mental Health Clinical Nurse. The Clinical Nurse practices autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services within a rural/remote health service setting. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality specialist, community-based mental health service to clients with reliable mental health problems in the South West region, in keeping with national and state best practice requirements.
The Clinical Nurse has no direct reports or financial delegations and reports to the Team Leader, Mental Health and ATODS.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct consultation and coordinate referral management within a community-based mental health service.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing evaluation of the model of care.
- Offer professional leadership across the service and apply critical thinking across all domains.
- Provide liaison, education and support to families, the general community, and private, public and non-government providers.
- Engage with community and non-government services and lead the development of innovative service options.
