SRS Power Pty Ltd is an electrical switchboard and building manufacturer that offers total solutions in the areas of electrical engineering and design. We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic Electrical Design Draftsperson.
We require a self‑motivated qualified Electrical AutoCAD/Designer in LV/MV/switchboards/building services, with a minimum 5 years' experience in complex electrical, lighting design projects in building services.
A solid knowledge with a wide range of hands‑on practice in drafting, design, calculations and quality control. Have the ability to work under pressure and deliver delegated tasks successfully on time by employing the highest standards in the industry.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong experience and understanding of switchboard designs and be able to interpret client specifications whilst remaining compliant to Australian Standards.
Standards: Knowledge of the AS3000, AS61439, IEC, ISO and quality control maintenance.
Key Qualifications
* Drafting/design: Strong experience in building services, such as commercial, industrial, projects, windfarm, solar farms and utilities sector.
* Proficient at SLDs, three‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, power distribution panels, layouts such as lighting, switchgear, lightning protection system, earthing, generator, conduit, cable tray. Preparing shop and As‑Installed drawings.
* Experience designing switchboard and motor control centers.
* Demonstrated project management.
* Leadership and organizational skills.
* Design general light and power circuits.
* Calculations: proficient at supplying calculations for lighting layouts, various equipment, earthing, lightning protection, switchgears, switchboards, LV/MV cable sizes.
* Audit: worked on‑site for numerous projects to provide support, ensure that all installations are conducted as designed and in compliance with standards and efficiently settle different issues and clashes during the construction phase for clients.
* Software: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office.
* NOTE: will look at graduate or less than 5 years' experience applicants as well.
