Amazon is seeking Area Manager Interns, a role that involves driving up the sortation & line haul infrastructure in the region, including identifying new routes and working closely with Area Managers to improve performance.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Review and understand the transportation process from Fulfillment Centres to delivery stations.
* Measure and ensure sufficient bandwidth in the sortation team to manage peak-time delivery efficiently.
* Assist and work alongside Area Managers to review performance appraisals of station supervisors and mentor them for handling efficient operations.
* Continuously improve throughput and achieve sustained delivery performance improvement.
* Review and assist in analyzing data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and drive improvements.
* Research and review formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.

Locations
You could be placed at any site across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, or Queensland. We expect candidates to be open to relocation, with a relocation stipend provided outside of the internship stipend.
About the Team
As an Area Manager Intern, you are part of something bigger and amazing. This is not a corporate role; you will be based in the heart of the action at one of our Fulfillment Centres, working with other Area Managers, support staff, and learning everything you need to know about how Amazon Operations works. You will be provided with a mentor who will support and guide your work, along with a strong intern support network.
Basic Qualifications
* Currently in your penultimate year of study in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Technology, Economics, Industrial Design, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Commerce, or a comparable field, graduating in 2027.
* Motivated to learn process improvement.
* Ability to work under pressure and in ambiguous situations, arriving with solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Some work experience – through placement years, internships, or university.
* Completed the online assessment within 5 business days during the application and assessment process.
