OPPORTUNITIES Full Time vacancy | Monday to Friday roster | Shifts are commencing between 06:30 AM - 8:30 AM finishing 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM | 38 hours per week. Parkville location THE ROLE & THE TEAM This role sits within a large, supportive team of 30+ Security Officers based at the Parkville Youth Justice Centre, receiving support from our 2 Supervisors and our Site Manager.?In this position you will provide general security services including access control, screening, and perimeter security across the site. There is a corrections presence on site run by Corrections Victoria, so the role does not require you to undertake correctional duties or interact with young people in detention, however you may be required to enter secure areas of the facility. We are looking for professional, licenced security staff to join our team to undertake security duties for our client, such as: Reception Duties - Providing friendly and efficient customer service for all people entering the centre, taking phone calls, registering visitors, creating visitor passes, and keeping detailed visitor logs. Screening - Conducting x-ray screening, searching using metal detection equipment, and ensuring that electronics are not brought into the site and are put in a locker. Patrols - Roving security patrols around the perimeter of the building. Sallyport Management - Checking trucks thoroughly in the sallyport area upon entry, including taking everything out of the truck for inspection and confiscating any prohibited items. Internal escorting - including escorting contractors within the precinct, which could involve going into secure areas of the facility. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement Valid First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to employment. Working with Children Check (Employee Version), or willingness to obtain prior to employment. Experience working in a similar environment. THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a 30-minute onsite interview. If successful after the interview, the G4S Talent Acquisition team will then email you a series of items to complete and return. You will also need to complete and pass a pre-employment medical assessment. Upon passing, you'll receive an employment contract plus a final set of Onboarding Forms to complete.
