About the Role
Shire Doctors and Dentists is seeking an experienced, friendly, and proactive Receptionist / Customer Service Assistant to join our medical centre in Caringbah, NSW. This casual/part-time, on-site role is ideal for an individual passionate about customer service and patient care who excels in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Greeting patients with a professional and welcoming manner
* Managing patient appointments and coordinating schedules for our medical and dental teams
* Handling patient inquiries, phone calls, and emails in a prompt and courteous manner
* Processing patient billing, payments, and ensuring accurate financial transactions
* Supporting administrative tasks such as data entry, records management, and filing
* Keeping the waiting area and reception clean and organized
* Liaising with healthcare professionals, patients, and external contacts as needed
What We Are Looking For
* Excellent customer service skills with a patient-focused approach
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
* High-level communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional presentation and a positive attitude
* Discretion and respect for patient confidentiality
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting or medical reception is desirable; however, candidates with strong customer service backgrounds and a passion for patient care are encouraged to apply and will benefit from our supportive team to enhance their skill sets
Desired but not essential
* Experience in a similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry
* Understanding of healthcare regulations, policies and procedures
* Proficient in using Best Practice management software, Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems
