Educators SA is the peak organisation representing professional education associations in South Australia. They deliver professional learning, advocacy, grants, awards and tailored support to educators across the state, and host key sector events including the annual Educators Ball, celebrating excellence and connection across the profession This is a small, collaborative and values-driven team that genuinely enjoys what they do. They work closely together, support one another across roles, and take pride in delivering high-quality service to their members. About the Role The Administration Officer is a key role and a primary point of contact for Educators SA. You will support the day-to-day administration, finance and membership functions of the organisation while also assisting members with training, education and event support. It’s a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responding to enquiries, maintaining databases, processing payments, supporting reports, assisting with board papers and helping coordinate events and professional learning activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in administration within a purpose-driven, not-for-profit environment. About the Person You might already have some administration experience, or you have a strong customer service background wanting to step into your first office-based admin role. If you’re comfortable using technology, confident learning new systems and naturally organised, you’ll do well in this role. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, patient and approachable. You enjoy helping people, communicate clearly, and don’t get flustered when things get busy. You’re reliable, show up on time, follow through on tasks and take pride in getting the details right. You’re happy to ask questions, open to feedback and willing to learn. You like having clear processes to follow but can also use your initiative when needed. Most importantly, you’re someone who brings a positive attitude, enjoys being part of a small team and genuinely cares about doing a good job. Duties Act as the first point of contact for the office Respond to phone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner Maintain accurate membership databases and records Support members with communications, marketing and event-related administration Assist with accounts payable and receivable Process membership payments and event income Assist with meeting logistics, agendas and minutes Help coordinate event registrations, payments and post-event reporting Skills/Experience Previous administration experience or strong customer service experience with a desire to move into an office-based role Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems (experience with Xero highly regarded) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage tasks and priorities in a small team environment A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service If you’re ready to step into a professional office environment and build your career in administration within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation, APPLY NOW.
