Our client, the Department for Child Protection (DCP), leads critical work to protect children and support families across South Australia. Through the KidSafe Connect (KSC) Transformation Program, DCP is delivering significant business and digital reform to improve how services connect, share information and achieve better outcomes for children, young people and families. As part of this major transformation, DCP is seeking a Solution Architect to provide specialist technical leadership and solution design expertise.
About The Role
The Solution Architect plays a critical role in designing and governing end-to-end solutions for the KidSafe Connect Transformation Program. Reporting to the Architectural Lead, this role ensures technology solutions are aligned with DCP enterprise architecture, ICT standards and program objectives. Operating with a high level of technical expertise and autonomy, you will design secure, scalable and integrated solutions across business and technology domains.
Key Responsibilities Include
Design end-to-end solutions across business, data, application and technology layers.
Translate business and functional requirements into clear technical designs aligned with enterprise architecture.
Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and compliant with integration, data and cybersecurity standards.
Contribute to architecture patterns, principles and reusable solution components.
Identify and mitigate architectural risks early in the design and delivery lifecycle.
Support architectural governance, technical assurance and solution review processes.
Ensure compliance with ICT standards, privacy obligations and regulatory frameworks.
Recommend improvements that reduce technical debt and enhance long-term maintainability.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate
Significant experience in solution architecture and systems design within complex multi-system environments.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, integration frameworks and secure data exchange.
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
Proven ability to translate business needs into robust, fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
Strong engagement and interpersonal skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability with a proactive approach to risk management.
Understanding of cybersecurity, privacy, information governance and regulatory requirements.
A collaborative mindset with a commitment to innovation, quality delivery and continuous improvement.
