Job Description
The purpose of this role is to perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks safely and effectively within the site's mobile maintenance department. This entails routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing along with field work. The incumbent will work on a range of mining equipment including Normet, Volvo, Sandvik loaders and Sandvik Development and Production drills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing on mining equipment
* Conduct field work in relation to equipment maintenance and repair
* Read and interpret hydraulic and auto electrical schematics and understand associated software programs
* Gain technical knowledge to apply potential asset/maintenance improvements
* Maintain health, safety, statutory, regulatory, and licensing standards
* Identify risks/hazards and apply effective controls via use of PTRA's, JSEA's or formal Risk Assessments
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful applicant will have the ability to make decisions, meet deadlines, possess strong communication skills and always strive to be part of a high-performing team. Additionally, they must have a diesel fitter trade certificate, current manual drivers license and excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
