HSQE Professional Opportunity
This is a senior-level role providing support services for various business units and facilitating the management, coordination, and control of Health Safety Quality Environment (HSQE) obligations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager HSQE and Team, assist organizational operations across Business Units, regularly liaise with all levels of management, and ensure the HSQE team is aware of HSQE issues within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain HSQE systems and processes on-site in remote Accommodation Villages
* Collaborate with Operations Managers to conduct safe operations and implement safety management systems
* Develop and execute injury prevention initiatives targeting key risk areas
* Partner with Operations Managers to address client needs and expectations
* Develop, implement, and monitor safety plans, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
* Conduct risk management processes to inform effective decision-making and safe operations
* Investigate accidents/incidents, maintain records, and analyze statistics
Qualifications and Experience:
* Diploma or Certificate IV in Occupational Safety & Health
* Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Psychosocial Risk Management, Auditing, Training & Assessment, and Food Safety are desirable
* Unrestricted Australian Driver's license
* Senior First Aid certification
* Significant experience in a similar role
* In-depth understanding of WHS legislation
* Ideal experience with ISO standards – Quality 9001, Safety 45001, Environment 14001
* Expertise in incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
