- **Salary**:106,024 - 117362 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

**Your role**

The Policy and Project Officer - Settlement sits in the Community and Policy Division. The Settlement team:

- Leads and coordinates implementation and evaluation of the NSW Settlement Strategy;
- Provides advice to the CEO and Minister for Multiculturalism on settlement matters;
- Supports the NSW Coordinator General for Settlement to work closely with all levels of government, the non-government sector and the community to improve the settlement system in NSW;
- Responds to emerging settlement challenges;
- Develops opportunities for refugees to participate in government decision-making;
- Coordinates whole-of-government responses to Australian Government settlement policy and reviews;
- Represents Multicultural NSW on a variety of NSW and Commonwealth Government committees.

**What you'll do**

As part of the Settlement team, you will support the Associate Director and Senior Policy Officers to develop, manage, deliver and evaluate a range of policies, projects and initiatives to support implementation and evaluation of the NSW Settlement Strategy. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders from across government and not-for-profit sectors and demonstrate a flexible, problem-solving approach to your work.

You'll work as part of a team of seven, with three Senior Policy Officers (9/10), one other Policy and Project Officer (7/8) and one Assistant Project Officer (5/6). The team and working environment are collaborative, supportive, responsive and require a detail-oriented and robust, evidence-informed approach.

**What we're looking for**
- Experience in developing and implementing projects, service delivery reforms or strategic initiatives.
- Experience undertaking various aspects of the policy process - research, development, review and evaluation.
- Experience sourcing, collating and critically analysing information to develop informed positions on policy issues.
- Exceptional level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.
