Working with a range of clients across varied sectors, this role is ideal for a hands-on, technically proficient engineer who enjoys leading teams and delivering successful project outcomes.
Relocation assistance within Australia is available for the right candidate.ResponsibilitiesLead the structural team to deliver fit for purpose innovative technical and quality structural engineering solutionsCollaborate across multiple office locations, working alongside multidiscipline engineers and designers through all project phases, from preliminary investigations and conceptual design to final design and construction.Support the management of engineering resources, budgets, schedules, and output quality to ensure efficiency and project successOngoing engagement with internal stakeholders ensuring all parties are well informed of structural project objectives, scope and progressInterpret and review engineering designs and deliverables, coordinate and direct drafting resources accordinglyUndertake structural engineering design calculationsProject team resource planning and managementLead and develop the structural engineering team.
Provide ongoing mentorship and strategic directionDevelopment and continuous improvement of the structural design toolsEnsuring the Safety in Design principles in all aspects of structural engineering projectsAbility to provide succinct updates / reporting and timely escalation of issuesDevelop scopes of work / proposals for tender processes and conduct technical studiesDevelopment and input into capital cost estimatesPerform site visits and inspections and risk assessmentsProvide construction / commissioning support for clients as requiredThe Ideal CandidateBachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural)Professional qualification in engineering, preferably CPEngActive RPEQ (Structural) is essential10+ years significant design experience in the Resources, Industrial or renewables sectors7+ years brownfield project experience in steel and concrete design, structural dynamics and fatigueMarine structures experience would be advantageousConsiderable experience working in consulting engineering environmentsExperienced and enjoys leading and mentoring a small teamLeads by example, upholding a commitment to safety, quality, and environmental consciousness, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety systemsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including experience in writing proposals, technical reports, and project correspondence.Adaptable, and decisive problem solver, able to navigate change, organising and prioritising the demands of multiple projects simultaneouslySignificant understanding of industry codes and standards and design safety standardsWhy Join Agilitus QLD?
