Provide technical advice to internal or external stakeholders, consultants or project managers in respect of any matters relating to structural assets on the State Road Network.
* Utilise the Bridge Management System to scope, develop, monitor and execute bridge maintenance, renewal or upgrade projects which align with strategic policies and guidelines.
* Preparation of briefs and specifications required for scoping, development, contract administration or investigation type work.
* Inspect, monitor and report on bridge and structure performance generally, including new construction projects throughout delivery until completion.
* Although there are no staff reporting to this position, the incumbent is required to supervise technical staff or consultants in the performance of duties where directed.
* Provide specialised technical advice on maintenance, renewal and construction of bridges and structures to project delivery and other staff, including training as appropriate.
* Represent the Department on state and national committees relevant to the primary duties as required.
* Perform other duties in other areas of State Road asset management as required.
