This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an essential team that provides maintenance services to over 18,000 public housing dwellings for the Department of Communities, including Aboriginal communities in metro and remote locations throughout the State.Benefits$80K - $90K + SuperJob security, working in an essential Government SectorVehicle, Powered Tools, Uniforms / PPE providedAn Employee Assistance Program, which incorporates a range of support and counselling services for any issue, personal or work-relatedKey ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Branch Supervisor, the Maintenance Carpenter is primarily responsible for general maintenance and reactive maintenance of our Contract's facilities.Complete any general maintenance and installation of cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildingsChange of door locks, patching work & some general handyperson dutiesUse hand tools, machines, or power saws as requiredFollow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environmentOn call roster – approximately 4 times per yearAbout YouTo join our team, you will be an experienced Carpenter who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise.
The incumbent is a key person within the Team, promoting staff morale while displaying a "can do" and "Team Player" attitude.
