We\u2019re excited to offer a permanent opportunity for a driven, passionate individual with a love for literacy, leadership, and hands-on business management. If you\u2019re enthusiastic about fostering community engagement, this role is for you
In this role you\u2019ll oversee the library, facility hire, cultural programming, and community engagement. Your focus will be on managing service points, creating dynamic and inclusive programs, workshops, learning experiences, and creative events, that connect people with literacy, culture, and each other. Leading a small, dedicated team, this is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You\u2019ll be responsible for delivering contemporary business plans, driving community engagement, and ensuring our cultural hubs are welcoming, innovative, and well-utilised spaces.
The position is currently based at Cardiff and Speers Point Libraries and requires flexibility to operate across the network of facilities within the Lake Macquarie local government area. The role operates on a flexible roster including regular weekends, based on a roster spanning from Monday through to Sunday; 8.00am to 9.00pm.

To be considered, candidates should meet the following criteria:
* A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Library & Information Studies, Arts Administration, Museum/Heritage Studies, or a similar area.
* Experience in facility management, with library or cultural facility management being highly regarded.
* Proven leadership experience in supervising and developing diverse teams.
* Project management experience is highly desirable.
* A current Working with Children Check.
* A valid Driver\u2019s Licence.
