About the role
Catholic Homes is seeking a passionate and motivated Cook to join the team at our Ocean Star residence located in Bunbury. This is a part-time role, working Monday to Wednesday, 06:00am to 14:00pm.
Ocean Star is our much-loved family friendly residence located on the beachfront along Ocean Drive and is close to the town centre, cafes and amenities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be flexible to working other shifts as required. The ability to complete food safety documentation and maintain an extremely high standard hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen.
The successful applicant will receive ongoing support and guidance from the Manager of Hotel Services and the Facility Manager.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* Certificate in food safety Supervision Certificate
* Minimum 2 years experience working as a Cook in Aged Care.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor the Food Services team.
* Understanding of food safety skills and knowledge of food safety regulations.
* Enjoys teamwork / team building and has the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Food ordering and service delivery within a budget.
* Passion and dedication for working with the elderly.
* Knowledge of texture modified foods, allergies and able to cater for specific diets.
