Overview

Responsibilities
* Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in our dining establishment.
* Prepare, season and cook high-quality menu items according to recipes and daily requirements.
* Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
* Assist with menu planning and provide input on specials and seasonal offerings.
* Ensure kitchen hygiene, safety and food handling standards are maintained at all times.
* Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and management about kitchen needs and service demands.
* Support ordering, stock-control and cost management activities.
* Coach and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
Qualifications
* Proven 1-2 year of commercial kitchen experience
* Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
* A team-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene best practices.
* Relevant culinary qualification highly regarded
