This NSW Government environment is strengthening its Technology Enablement capability to better align enterprise architecture with business outcomes. A newly established function is embedding architecture deeper into operational areas to shape roadmaps, guide investment decisions and support long term transformation.
The Enterprise Architecture team works hand in hand with Technology Enablement, combining strategic oversight with hands on engagement across major portfolios. These roles are new positions created to provide dedicated focus and lift architectural capability in key domains.
You will join a collaborative team that is delivery focused, open in its approach and values practical outcomes over theory. The culture is supportive, fast paced and built on strong working relationships with business stakeholders.
About your new role
You will operate as a senior Enterprise Architect aligned to a defined portfolio while remaining part of the central architecture team. The role blends strategic planning with active engagement across in flight initiatives and new programs of work.
Two domain focus areas exist across the team:
* Corporate Operations. Covering back office and enabling platforms such as ERP, CRM, ITSM and asset and infrastructure systems.
* Education and School Operations. Supporting systems and initiatives that enable early learning and school administration environments.
You will step into an environment with active programs already underway, while also shaping future state roadmaps across areas that are still being defined. This includes identifying opportunities, guiding solution direction and building structured pathways for delivery over the next three to five years.
Key tasks include:
* Developing enterprise and domain level architecture roadmaps aligned to business priorities
* Partnering with Technology Enablement teams to deliver structured engagement with business units
* Providing architectural oversight across complex application landscapes and integrations
* Supporting current initiatives while identifying future transformation opportunities
* Facilitating workshops and advisory sessions with executives, SMEs and operational teams
* Assessing technologies and guiding adoption of emerging capabilities where appropriate
* Ensuring solutions align with governance, scalability and long term maintainability goals
* Operating autonomously while contributing to a broader collaborative architecture practice
About you
You are an experienced Enterprise Architect who can operate across multiple domains rather than specialising in a single platform. You bring a pragmatic mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to guide direction in complex environments.
You will bring:
* Proven experience operating as an Enterprise Architect or senior domain architect
* Broad exposure across enterprise platforms, cloud environments and integrated systems
* Ability to develop strategic roadmaps while staying connected to delivery realities
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non technical audiences
* A methodical and adaptable approach to evaluating technologies and solution options
* Experience working in large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholders
* Confidence working independently while contributing to a team based model
Highly regarded:
* Exposure to platforms such as Salesforce, SAP or ServiceNow
* Experience across cloud ecosystems including AWS, Azure or GCP
* Background supporting education, infrastructure, government or similarly complex sectors
* Understanding of working within policy driven or regulated environments

What’s on offer
Role Title: Enterprise Architect
Contract Length: 7 months with strong likelihood of extension
Pay Rate: $1100 to $1200 per day plus super
Location: South Eveleigh
Work Model: Hybrid, typically 2 to 3 days onsite
