The Role
As a Geoscience Support Officer, Joe Lord Core Library, you will form part of a dynamic team responsible for the manual handling of drill core and other materials, processing material from receipt to archive according to established protocols, participating in the planning and preparation of field trips and assisting geoscientists with field activities, preparing and inspecting vehicles and equipment as well as recommending new equipment and supplies when required, and maintaining accurate records on established data bases.
Your physical capacity to undertake manual handling and active participation in field trips, as well as your experience in safely operating 4WD vehicles in off-road conditions will be key to your success in this role.
