About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Inventory Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our parts department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of inventory control, from stock management to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of the parts department, ensuring smooth workflow and high service standards.
• Manage inventory levels, maintaining accurate records and implementing effective purchasing strategies.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives to promote parts and increase revenue.
• Collaborate with the service department to ensure availability of required parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and sales support to internal and external clients, including product advice and selection.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability in the parts department.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and securing cost-effective procurement agreements.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitoring financial performance and implementing cost control measures.
• Supervise, train and motivate parts department staff to achieve sales and service objectives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant company policies, industry regulations and workplace health and safety standards.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in similar roles within automotive sales, retail management or inventory control, preferably within the industry.
• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in a relevant field, or at least three years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and industry trends.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth.
• Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
• Strong leadership abilities to supervise, train and develop staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
