GPH employs over 400 staff including many qualified health and other professionals including peer workers and community workers. GPH operations cover a large regional geographical footprint in NSW and ACT.
About the position
The GPH Aboriginal Health Team provides a comprehensive and holistic range of services for First Nations Communities across our regions.
In this position you will work within a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for First Nations Communities. Key responsibilities of the role include:
* The provision of culturally appropriate consumer care coordination and chronic disease management
* Preventative health screening interventions, and
* Health engagement activities.
We have two positions available in Bega and Batemans Bay, as part-time opportunities (32 hours per week), fixed term until 30 June 2026, with possibility of extension.
We are looking for someone with:
1. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with minimum two years' experience
2. Skills to deliver flexible and culturally safe health interventions to First Nations Communities
3. Strong organisational skills and confidence in exercising clinical judgement
4. The ability to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and communication skills
