The Cook position at our restaurant plays a vital role in daily operations, from preparing sauces and fillings to managing wok and dim-sum stations. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Cook who can contribute to our kitchen team, uphold our food standards, and mentor junior staff in authentic Chinese cooking methods.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic kitchen environment and thrive in a collaborative setting. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Chinese cooking techniques, enjoy teamwork, and be passionate about delivering excellent food and service.

Responsibilities include adjusting cooking appliance settings to ensure optimal cooking conditions, instructing kitchen hands on proper preparation techniques, measuring and mixing ingredients accurately, estimating and preparing necessary ingredients and supplies, preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes, portioning and plating food attractively, seasoning and adjusting dishes during the cooking process, and collaborating closely with front-of-house staff to ensure customer orders are accurately prepared and delivered promptly.

Qualifications, Education, Experience and Abilities Required:
A minimum of a Cert IV qualification or equivalent in substantial experience; at least 2 years of kitchen experience in a highly relevant role; must have experience in Chinese cuisine, especially in Shanghainese aesthetic; good cooking and presentation skills; excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures; able to work in a team; good communication skills; maintain good health and hygiene; great time management and organisation skills.
