 
        
        An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Chef to join the team at Whittlesea Lodge Aged Care on a part time basis. Reporting to the Chef Manager, the focus of this role is to provide high quality, nutritious meals and exceptional service to our residents to enhance their daily lives. This includes
 * Planning, ordering and preparing meals in a way that will enhance the resident's dining experience, in line with all specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods.
 * Ensuring a high level of compliance with all food safety guidelines and HACCP procedures.
 * Ensure meals meet specific dietary requirements (e.g. texture-modified diets, allergies, cultural preferences)
 * Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed
 * Collaborate with care staff to ensure meal times align with residents' routines and care plans
 * Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively
 * Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
 * Prepare meals for special occasions or themed events within the facility
 * Receive and store food deliveries appropriately
 * Record and report any incidents related to food safety or resident feedback
 * Support residents' wellbeing by creating a positive and respectful dining experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $36.18 per hour
Expected hours: 7.6 – 24 per week
