We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join the MULTIVAC Group team in Melbourne, Victoria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technicians across Australia, ensuring customer support during installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of machinery. This includes training operators, production, and maintenance staff.
Main Duties:
* Perform planned services on MULTIVAC Australia supported equipment installed at customer sites.
* Travel to customer sites as required to diagnose and resolve technical issues causing breakdowns.
* Investigate and proactively correct problems where machines are not performing at required levels.
* Perform machine services and rebuilds in the MULTIVAC workshop as needed.
* Provide technical phone support to customers when onsite attendance isn't possible.
* Liaise with management on service-related matters within Australia.
* Attend machine-specific training courses as directed.
* Comply with safety guidelines and ensure risks are managed while working on customer sites and offices.
Relationships and Authority:
* Reports directly to the State Service Manager.
Required Skills:
* Current Electrician's Licence or trade qualification as a Fitter/Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical License.
* Experience in food industry packaging or processing equipment is advantageous.
* Mandatory electronics skills and knowledge of PLC-driven processes.
* Knowledge of motor, servomotor, and drive technology is a plus.
* Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings at a component level.
* Proven customer service skills.
* Willingness to work weekends, travel at short notice, and flexible hours.
* Current Driver's License.
* Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
