Reporting directly to our Operations Director ANZ, your role as the Regional Operations Manager will influence across the entire Tip Top division cross functionally at a General Manager level. As a passionate advocate for human and food safety, this role is accountable for the operational performance of our Southern/Western Region for our Tip Top bakeries based in VIC, SA & WA. The role will also provide the seamless collaboration with other functions and implementation and delivery of consistent Tip Top operational strategies across all function including HR and Finance.
Purpose of the Role
- Provide the leadership, structure, resources to improve safety and engagement to best-in-class levels
- Develop the overall leadership and technical skills of the regional operational team increasing the capability and capacity of the organisation to take on new business challenges
- Manage the overall operational cost base of the region, including, direct/indirect labour, manufacturing overheads, repairs and maintenance, material variances, supply chain warehousing, depot and distribution costs
- Ensure the highest standards of compliance to all accreditation programmes in line with the overall national quality programme
- Work collaboratively with the Heads of QA, Engineering and Supply chain to provide input to overall divisional business and operational strategies and cascade into a consistent regional execution
- Manage the capital projects approved for the region in conjunction with the head of engineering and in accordance with allocation of resources nationally or locally
- Drive the execution of a comprehensive best in class maintenance excellence reliability programme in the region
- Drive process control and product consistency in the region delivering continuous reductions in wastage and increases in product quality to specifications
- Work collaboratively with the commercial teams to support product launch and other consumer activities as required

About You
- Extensive relevant experience as a Senior Leader within a manufacturing environment within the food/FMCG industry will be highly regarded
- Proven experience managing large teams and multi-sites
- Strong safety, quality and risk mindset with a proven track record of driving improved performance
- Exceptional leadership skills and demonstrated ability to develop effective teams, build positive culture and drive change
- Highly developed skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, collaboration and influencing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
