**Job Title:** In House Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate leader to join our team as an In House Practitioner. This role is central to fostering a nurturing, stable environment that promotes healing, development, and wellbeing for children and young people in our residential care setting.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of Cert IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or Disability, along with relevant experience working with children and young people with complex needs and trauma backgrounds. They will also be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and database management.

The key responsibilities of this role include providing therapeutic care and maintaining a safe, supportive, home-like environment for children and young people. The In House Practitioner will lead, mentor, and guide a team of support workers to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care and oversee daily operations, including care planning, rostering, reporting, and ensuring compliance with practice standards.

As a calm, caring leader, the successful candidate will build strong, respectful relationships and support teams through daily challenges. They will bring a trauma-informed, child-centred approach and create safe, nurturing spaces where young people feel at home. They will also be organised, adaptable, and confident balancing care and operational tasks.


**Key Responsibilities:**

* Lead, mentor, and guide a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care.
* Oversee daily operations, including care planning, rostering, reporting, and ensuring compliance with practice standards.


**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

* A minimum of Cert IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or Disability.
* Experience working with children and young people with complex needs and trauma backgrounds.
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and database management.
