In this role, you'll
Accept the opportunity to work as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic on our Maintenance and Delivery team in Yennora on a 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday.
Perform maintenance and repairs on a range of plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment. Handle installation, maintenance, repairs, commissioning and modification of complex hydraulic/pneumatic machinery.
May be required to supervise apprentices or staff assisting other mechanics.
About You
Completed a Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade or a Plant Mechanical trade.
Ambitious, collaborative, qualified mechanical tradesperson who enjoys working autonomously.
Good problem‐solving, fault diagnosis skills and proactive in dealing with customer complaints effectively and efficiently.
Strong focus on safety, with ability to identify, communicate and report environmental hazards and understand quality requirements.
Experience working with a variety of heavy vehicles is highly regarded.
AIS Examiners Ticket highly desirable; experience in welding and metal fabrication also desirable.
Current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence. Willingness to obtain Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid driver's licence. Willingness to obtain Construction Industry White Card before commencement.
Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements directed.
Must reside within a reasonable distance from Yennora Depot.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Heavy Vehicle Mechanical or Plant Mechanical trade certification
* Current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence
* Will to obtain Medium/Heavy Rigid driver licence and Construction Industry White Card
* Ability to undertake additional licensing or ticketing requirements
* Strong focus on safety and quality requirements
* Good problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills
* Experience with heavy vehicles preferred
