Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a General Manager, primarily based in Melbourne, VIC, with flexibility for remote work. The General Manager will oversee operations, lead business development efforts, and ensure the successful execution of client projects. Responsibilities include managing teams, developing strategic plans, overseeing financial performance, ensuring safety and compliance, and fostering relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. The role requires a balance of on-site leadership and strategic oversight, combined with regular collaboration with colleagues both in-office and virtually.
Qualifications
* Leadership and organizational management experience, with a proven track record in overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring project success
* Expertise in operational strategy development, project execution, and client relationship management
* Technical knowledge in tender design, field audits, contract negotiation, and technology integration
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills, with experience in performance reporting and budgeting
* Experience in workforce development, training, and driving ESG initiatives within the industry
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
* Preferred: Proven background in the drilling and resource exploration industry, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
