Role Overview At Aptella, we combine advanced positioning technology with exceptional service to support customers across the mining, geospatial, building, and civil construction sectors.
Based in Balcatta, we're seeking a Technical Support Specialist – Geospatial to support customers who rely on our machine control and geospatial solutions in the field.
This is NOT an IT helpdesk job .
You'll work directly with surveyors, operators, and project teams—helping them keep major WA projects running safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Your day will include a mix of phone-based troubleshooting, hands-on field support, product training, and assisting with site infrastructure setup and configuration.
If you enjoy problem-solving, technology, and helping people get the job done right, this role puts you at the heart of real-world project outcomes across WA.
Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve technical issues across Aptella's product range Deliver high-quality customer training (onsite, in-office, and remote) Manage and document support cases in D365 accurately and promptly Recommend workflows, settings, and training based on customer use Conduct setup, maintenance, and diagnostics on geospatial and machine control hardware Provide practical guidance to customers in field environments Complete work order documentation using the Field Service App Identify and recommend product upgrades where suitable Support company and industry events as required About You You're technically minded, curious, and enjoy figuring out how things work.
Whether your background is in surveying, civil construction, GPS/GNSS, machine control, electronics, or you're simply passionate about geospatial technology—you'll receive full training to build your expertise.
You're a confident communicator who enjoys supporting customers and solving problems.
You stay organised when managing support tickets, work well both independently and with a team, and adapt quickly when priorities shift.
Experience with D365 is helpful, but a willingness to learn, grow, and deliver excellent service is what truly matters.
