We're looking for a Boiler Attendant to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our boiler systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
About the role
Check and maintain boilers to ensure safe and efficient operation
Monitor coal usage, chemical controls, soot blowing, water softener tests, and blow-down procedures
Clean soot and maintain boiler performance to maximise efficiency
Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
Use fault-finding and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently
Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of repairs and required maintenance
Work closely with the Operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with team members in a constructive and supportive environment
Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times
About You
Previous experience working with boilers or in a maintenance-related role
Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities
Can work well independently and as part of a team
Demonstrates a commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency
Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
