About our Client
Our client is a highly recognisable Australian retailer with a national footprint and a long-standing presence in the local market. With a strong focus on modernising its supply chain, the business continues to invest in technology and capability to support stores and online customers across the country. Its distribution network plays a critical role in enabling this, with multiple large-scale DCs supporting a complex retail operation.
About the Opportunity
This is a pivotal supply chain role responsible for ensuring that the function is supported by the right systems 'solution' - and the right information - at the right time. The Supply Chain Systems Lead will initially be involved in a large WMS project, transitioning from a legacy platform to a new WMS and scheduled for delivery in late 2026. You'll work cross functionally to ensure the solution is implemented effectively across a diverse DC network, each with its own unique mix of automation and system usage.
The position will also support future plans for business growth - and therefore an increase in DC throughput - from a systems solutions perspective, adding further scope and challenge to the role. The role will evolve to include people leadership, with responsibility for a small team of Analysts and an increasing focus on capability development and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
* Background in logistics or supply chain, with a great understanding of large Distribution Centre operations
* Demonstrated experience delivering WMS upgrades or implementations, with a practical grasp of their operational impacts
* A genuine interest in supply chain systems and how they enable day-to-day performance
* Retail supply chain experience will be highly regarded, particularly exposure to eCommerce fulfilment, store replenishment and high-SKU environments
* Ability to work cross functionally and translate operational requirements into effective system solutions
