The Opportunity
You will work in a medium sized team and will be exposed to exciting new projects and the administration of a Financial Management Information System (FMIS). The team fosters an environment where they invest time in developing people who have a strong interest and aptitude for systems. This vacancy is at the APS6 level and is offered a non‐ongoing 12 month contract with the possibility of extension or permanency, as this is a genuine vacant position. Flexible working arrangements and hybrid working will be offered to the right candidate. High performers may also have the opportunity to act at the EL1 level.
The Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Systems Accounting, your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Assisting with system administration services utilising the FMIS
* Providing TechnologyOne end user support, maintenance, and monitoring services
* Managing user access policies and requests across multiple agencies as part of shared service arrangements
* Coordinating activities to maintain system currency, ensuring upgrades and releases are tested and deployed in a planned and timely manner to maximise system performance and database capacity
* Identifying and promoting opportunities to improve business processes and reduce risk
* Developing TechnologyOne functionality, including new modules, system interfaces, dashboards, import functionality, and automated workflow processes
* Assisting with managing Expense8 systems, including system configuration changes, user access maintenance and system testing
The Ideal Person
This role suits a systems accountant with strong FMIS knowledge, particularly TechnologyOne. You enjoy problem solving and have a keen interest in making systems work effectively for users.
You are likely to come from one of the following backgrounds:
* Experience working for a consulting firm (ie TechnologyOne) as a Financial Systems Administrator, Systems Accountant or Consultant specialising in TechnologyOne
* Experience in a Federal Government department or agency as an APS6 Financial Systems Administrator or a high performing APS5 Systems Administrator
* Experience in another organisation as an in house Systems Accountant specialising in TechnologyOne
Applicants must be Australian citizens and with an existing security clearance (Baseline) to be considered for this position.
Salary / Rate
* $100k – $120k + 15.4% Super non-ongoing contract (pending experience)
