West Australian Geriatric Specialists' is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team in Como, WA on a part-time basis. As the first point of contact for our patients, this role is crucial in ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience. Our Medical Receptionist will be responsible for managing incoming enquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
* Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including coordinating with healthcare providers and arranging visits in the community
* Handling incoming phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a timely and efficient manner
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical documentation
* Assisting with billing and insurance-related tasks
* Providing general administrative support to the physicians/practice manager as needed
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
* Proficient in using medical software and database systems
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
* A current WA Driver's License
