About the Role
Our client is a well-established Sunshine Coast law firm with a strong reputation for providing practical, client-focused legal advice. They specialise in property, commercial law, wills and estates, and dispute resolution, delivering high-quality service with a personal approach. They are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their friendly and professional team on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on and fast-paced role supporting the principal and the broader legal team across property, commercial, and private client matters.
As part of this role you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, providing high-level legal administrative support and assisting with a variety of client matters in a busy and supportive firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing secretarial and administrative support to the principal and the legal team
* Diary and inbox management, including scheduling meetings and client appointments
* Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents and correspondence
* File management including opening, closing, and maintaining electronic and physical files
* Billing, time entry, and general accounts support
* Liaising with clients, courts, and external stakeholders
* Supporting conveyancing, commercial, and estate matters as required
* General office and administrative duties to support smooth day-to-day operations
About You
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant (essential)
* Strong understanding of legal administrative processes
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
* Confident communicator with strong client service skills
* Experience with legal practice management systems (advantageous)
* Proactive, reliable, and able to work well in a close-knit team
