Base $120,000-130,000 (inclusive of super) + Performance Bonus + ESOP

Medlo is a doctor-led, tech-first startup on a mission to fix Australia's fractured healthcare workforce. We automate credential checks, validate clinician skills in minutes with our in house referencing system, and power placements with our in-house billing and invoicing system.
We're now looking for an experienced Senior Medical Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of a high-impact doctor-focused desk, working end-to-end across locum and permanent medical placements.
This is a senior, high-trust role designed for someone who wants autonomy, meaningful work, and the opportunity to help shape how medical recruitment is done, from building a team to showcasing excellence in client-candidate management.

The Role
* This position is primarily focused on medical recruitment (junior and senior doctors) across public hospitals, private hospitals and clinics. Over time, the role will expand into adjacent workforce areas as Medlo grows.
* You'll operate with full ownership of your work — managing relationships, bookings, negotiations and outcomes — while being supported by strong systems, automation and a clinically-led organisation.
* It's a relationship-driven, outcomes-focused position for someone comfortable operating independently.
* The team are based in Collingwood, Melbourne and prefer to be in person, though this role can be done remotely.
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing end-to-end medical recruitment assignments (locum and permanent)
* Building long-term relationships with doctors across multiple specialties
* Working directly with hospitals and health services to solve complex workforce needs
* Negotiating rates, availability, travel and placement terms with confidence
* Managing multiple concurrent bookings while maintaining accuracy and compliance
* Using modern systems and workflows to reduce admin and increase impact
* Contributing to process improvement and the evolution of Medlo's recruitment model
* Over time, helping expand recruitment into additional healthcare roles and services
About You
You're an experienced medical recruiter who understands that medical recruitment is about trust, judgement and credibility, not just speed.
You likely have:
* Proven experience in medical or healthcare recruitment
* Full working rights in Australia
* Confidence working with doctors, senior clinicians and hospital stakeholders
* Commercial awareness (rates, margins, workforce constraints)
* Strong management skills
* Likes the challenge of a cold desk and business development
* The ability to manage your desk autonomously and responsibly
* Technically capable and wanting to learn new system and give feedback quickly
* A calm, solutions-focused approach that can work within a team in fast-moving environments
* An interest in building something long-term, not just hitting short-term numbers
* Keen progress to General Manager at Medlo
* Looking to build and manage a team (Recruiters & Compliance)
* Are technically savvy and have enthusiasm to learn
