About the role
Hume Fluid Power is seeking a full-time Fitter, Mechanic, Machinist to join our team in Jindera, NSW. As a skilled trades professional, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing hydraulic equipment, including hydraulic hoses. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of industrial hydraulic equipment and systems
* Fabricate, install, and replace hydraulic hoses and fittings
* Operate various hand and power tools, as well as specialised machinery, to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
* Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
* Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
What we're looking for
* Formal trade qualifications as a Fitter, Mechanic, or Machinist, or demonstrated equivalent experience
* Proven experience in hydraulic system maintenance and repair, including hydraulic hose fabrication
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
* Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
