Apprentice Distribution Lineworker Program
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Apprentice Distribution Lineworker program, where you will gain hands-on experience and nationally recognized qualifications in the electricity supply industry.
This four-year apprenticeship offers a unique blend of practical experience and formal training, with opportunities to rotate through various worksites and develop your skills in constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead assets.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead assets
* Operating tools and equipment used in construction and maintenance of the network
* Installing and maintaining overhead distribution conductors and cables
* Inspecting electrical structures and equipment
* Testing and verifying overhead installations
* Assisting with yard and warehouse duties, administration, ground support, and traffic control (where trained)
Requirements:
* Be 18 years or older by the start of the program
* Have a genuine interest in the energy industry and enjoy working outdoors
* Be physically capable and comfortable working at heights
* Have a great attitude and be eager to be part of a supportive team
* Hold (or be working towards) a Certificate II in Electrotechnology – this is advantageous but not essential
