Job Opportunity: Finance Graduate Role
The successful candidate will provide valuable support to the finance team, gaining extensive experience through exposure to various finance functions.
This role involves taking on responsibilities within Credit Control, Stock Management Process, Weekly Reports for Senior Management team, and Management Accounts. The chosen candidate will also gain experience in Purchase Ledger, T&A System Functions, and Purchasing as part of a rotation start to the programme, and further as cover work for others where required.
As the role develops, the Finance Graduate will have opportunities to lead projects, providing a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a small finance team and gain exposure to lots of different financial elements quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the Credit Control function, assisting the business in bringing cash into the business
* Oversee Business stock take process, organizing weekly and monthly stock takes, ensuring accuracy and improving processes
* Support Health and Safety Officer and Buyer with PPE Vending Machine usage, monitoring stock levels and employee usage
* Prepare key weekly reports to Senior Managers within the division
* Assist with month-end process via completion of reports such as Aged Debtors report
* Participate in project work primarily based around financial and system controls following recent implementation of new ERP system – initially helping with these projects before eventually taking charge of projects with support from Finance Manager where required
* Gain understanding of Purchase Ledger function through rotation programme and offer support and cover where needed
* Gain understanding of T&A system through rotation programme and offer support and cover where needed
* Gain understanding of Buyers responsibilities through rotation programme and offer support and cover where needed
* Assist with Year End Accounts and external audit through provision of formatted data requested by auditors
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish team goals and objectives
* Computer literate, including high proficiency in Excel
* Familiarity with key accounting concepts
* Excellent verbal and written skills
* High attention to detail
* Desire to learn and improve not only themselves but also current processes
