Community Health Nurse Position
Central Highlands Rural Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join their Macedon Ranges Community Nursing team on a casual basis.
* Casual workforce with 7-day coverage, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
* Working hours are from 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, without any night shifts or on-call responsibilities.
* The role involves providing patient care services, including wound management, catheter insertion and maintenance, chemotherapy disconnects, and central venous access device (CVAD) care in the community palliative care setting.

Key Responsibilities
As a Community Health Nurse, you will be responsible for:
* Providing comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
* Administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families as needed.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
* Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care outcomes.
