We're seeking a Head Chef to lead food across two established hospitality operations in the Sunshine Coast hinterland — a high-volume American-style venue and a growing breakfast cafe and production kitchen.
This role is designed for a driven, commercially minded chef ready to take ownership of an existing platform and elevate it without losing what makes it successful.
You won't be walking into chaos.
You'll be stepping into a well-supported operation with experienced venue and kitchen leadership already in place.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a senior leadership role with real scope.
You'll lead food creativity, execution, and performance while working alongside seasoned venue and kitchen leaders who value structure, standards, and accountability.
The focus is simple:
Keep food fast, consistent, and reliable
Push quality and creativity forward in a controlled, commercial way
Build a strong, professional kitchen culture
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Food Direction & Development
Drive menu evolution while staying true to the brand's core offering
Develop specials, seasonal menus, and concepts for key occasions and events
Adapt menus and production based on forecasting, demand, and emerging trends
Leadership & Team Development
Lead a dedicated, professional kitchen team aligned to clear SOPs
Mentor and develop young, motivated chefs through structure and example
Maintain high standards during service and production without losing pace
Commercial Performance
Take personal ownership of kitchen KPIs including:
* Food cost control
* Work closely with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement
* Align prep, production, and labour to forecasted numbers
Systems & Execution
Ensure recipes, prep, service, and production processes are tight, repeatable, and scalable
Maintain clarity, calm, and control through busy service periods
