* Oversee and lead the finance function of a dynamic organisation, responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and implementing strategic direction.
The Responsibilities

* Develop and refine budgetary strategies in collaboration with other managers to ensure financial efficiency and alignment with the company's goals.
* Implement and continuously evaluate accounting policies and plans to ensure they meet the company's operational and strategic needs.
* Coordinate the development and implementation of robust accounting systems to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
* Direct the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to accurately reflect the company's financial status.
* Conduct detailed financial analyses to forecast future earnings, income, and financial performance, helping guide strategic planning and decision-making.
* Review and assess proposals for capital financing, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives and financial viability.
* Provide financial advice on business strategies and opportunities, optimising the company's financial growth and stability.
* Interpret financial information to evaluate and forecast funding needs, guiding business decisions and performance improvements.
* Deliver long-range profit forecasts to assist in budgeting and financial planning, ensuring long-term financial health.
* Ensure all financial operations comply with relevant legislation, financial standards, and corporate governance requirements.
* Advise on the optimal strategies for the distribution of earnings, balancing reinvestment in the business with shareholder returns.
* Regularly review and analyse the financial implications of business operations and performance to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
The Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience as a finance manager.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience overseeing a finance team.
* At least 2 years of financial management experience and proven track record in financial forecasting, budget management, and financial reporting.
* At least 2 years' experience in preparing financial statements and managing audits.
* At least 2 years' experience using accounting software, particularly MYOB and Xero.
* At least 2 years' experience in preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and AASB standards and liaising with regulatory bodies such as the ATO and ASIC.
* At least 2 years' experience ensuring compliance with tax, superannuation, and corporate regulatory requirements (ATO, ASIC).
* At least 2 years' experience managing statutory compliance, including GST, FBT, payroll tax, BAS.
* Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
* Excellent accounting software user and interpersonal skills.
