About the Role: WorkPac are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of our client Rio Tinto to support leaders, employees, and contract partners in maintaining a safe work environment.
In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, provide coaching, and implement health and safety programs that align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Operating on 8/6 Roster this position is a FIFO opportunity.
Key Responsibilities: Support risk reduction initiatives across operationsProvide guidance on incident management and investigation processesIdentification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in all areas of the Health and Safety function.
Provide trusted advice on health and safety matters to operational leaders in line with the Rio Tinto HSEQ Management System.
Facilitate and coach risk assessments to enhance workplace safetyChampion Critical Risk Management and leadership safety programsSupport fundamental health and safety initiatives, training and coaching for key activities and processes, such as Shift Starts, Quality Safety Interactions, Critical Risk Management, and other Leadership in Field programs.Deliver training and coaching on key health and safety processesAssist with reporting and data analysis to track safety performanceSkills and Experience Required: Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (beneficial) or relevant Health and Safety Qualifications.Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skillsSound knowledge of Construction and/or Civil works desirable
