Job Description:
This is a key technical role that contributes to high-quality and efficient service delivery through conceptual design work, compliance auditing, and the review of reticulation network augmentations and developments. You will work closely with stakeholders across engineering, project management, asset planning and construction to ensure projects are safe, technically sound, and aligned to best-practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct design reviews and audits across water, wastewater, and recycled water networks
* Ensure designs comply with technical standards, safety in design (SiD), and value-for-money principles
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and externally
* Provide input into technical standards, process improvements, and innovation initiatives
* Support consultant performance, QA requirements, and handle non-conformance issues
* Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
Requirements:
You will need a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline) and experience in engineering design, review, and technical reporting. Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills are also essential. An understanding of water infrastructure standards and reticulation network design is required, as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes and infrastructure delivery (desirable). Design and/or people management experience is also beneficial.
