Reporting to the Group Chief Technology Officer you will be an integral part of our newly established Branch Leadership Executive. You will lead the strategic direction, integration and performance of Transport for NSW's enterprise‐wide IT infrastructure and service delivery functions. You will shape a secure, reliable and scalable technology environment that underpins customer‐centric transport services across the state.
Champion a collaborative transformation program, bringing together diverse networks, systems and teams to create seamless, scalable and inclusive IT operations. You will encourage innovation, strengthen cloud and hosting approaches, and uplift service experience through supportive, user‐oriented practices.
Operate with significant autonomy, influencing senior executives and navigating a large, highly matrixed organisation. You will cultivate collaborative partnerships across government, manage complex vendor ecosystems, and apply thoughtful commercial judgement in managing complex contracts.
Inspire and empower a large, multidisciplinary workforce through significant change fostering innovation and creating a culture of shared purpose and continuous learning. You will invite constructive challenge, support fresh perspectives and help teams thrive through periods of transformation.

About you
You will bring:
* Deep experience leading IT infrastructure, service delivery and technology operations within large complex organisations.
* A track record of leading major transformation, including network integration, cloud management and hosting services, approached with adaptability and openness.
* Demonstrated commercial and vendor‐management capability with a track record of managing high‐value contracts and service level agreements with third‐party technology providers towards shared outcomes.
* A strategic, holistic perspective that enables simplification, streamlining and alignment across diverse systems.
* The ability to operate independently at an executive level, while nurturing positive relationships across complex stakeholder groups.
* A collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
* A supportive and empowering leadership approach that builds capability, fosters teamwork and encourages innovative thinking.
* Confidence to challenge conventional approaches with empathy and care, balancing bold ideas with stakeholder needs.
* The ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences
* Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or similar highly desirable.
* Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in a related field) highly regarded.
