What You Will Be Working On In any one day this role could be facedwith: Undertaking investigations and enforcing compliance under the City's local laws relating to public health issues contributing to a positive public image and reduction in health-related incidents, minimising potential legal issues and liabilities. Conduct food and water sampling and other relevant inspections as required to support successful investigation and implementation of remedial actions. Implement educational programs to inform the community about hygiene practices, disease prevention, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Conduct routine inspections of public spaces, businesses and residential areas for compliance matters. Respond to public complaints and reports related to potential health hazards or non-compliances. About You Ideally, we are looking for someone with the followingexperience and qualifications: Formal studies or training in Environmental Health or a related discipline with knowledge of food/water sampling. Knowledge and understanding of health legislation, the Building Code of Australia and other Acts, regulations and local laws administrated by Health Services. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with excellent time management. Strong problem solving and investigative analytical skills.
