Botanica Obscura is a interior plant design studio based in Leichhardt, Sydney. We source premium sculptural plants and pair them with unique or vintage planters, for high-end residential and commercial spaces. We are looking for a creative, highly organised Social Media & Customer Service Assistant to join our team. This is a dynamic role in a young, fast-growing business for someone who can translate our physical studio aesthetic into a captivating digital presence, while being the first point of contact on social media with our clients. Role Overview Location: Leichhardt, Sydney (On-site / Studio-based) Employment Type: Part-Time (with potential to scale) Reporting to: Creative Director / Founder Key Responsibilities 1. Social Media & Content Creation Content Capture: Photographing and filming high-quality content in-studio and on-site at installation locations (focusing on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest). Editing & Curation: Editing Reels/TikToks, writing engaging captions that reflect our brand. Community Engagement: Proactively building a community by engaging with followers and answering comments. Analytics: Monitoring basic performance metrics to see what content resonates best with our audience. 2. Customer Service Inquiry Management: Managing the studio inbox and Instagram DMs, responding promptly and professionally to client inquiries regarding plant availability, pricing, and custom sourcing. Scheduling in-studio appointments. Client Consultation Assistance: Welcoming clients and designers visiting the Leichhardt studio. About You You have an appreciation for interior design and horticulture. You understand how to frame a shot to align with our brand. You know the ins and outs of Instagram and TikTok algorithms, trending audio, and editing apps (e.g., CapCut, Canva). You have strong photography or videography skills using a DSLR camera (though high-end iPhone content creation is our standard). You have great written and verbal communication skills. You thrive in a small studio environment where you need to manage your own time, switch tasks easily and follow instructions. While you don't need to be a horticulturist, a genuine passion for plants and a willingness to learn is essential. Bonus Points For: Experience working in customer service or social media for a premium lifestyle brand.
