What you will do as an Analyst or Senior Analyst
- Work collaboratively within a team of analysts, assistant directors and directors.
- Conduct research and analyse information about priority areas and communicate this information to key stakeholders in the ACCC.
- Build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to further the ACCC’s priorities in relation to Consumer Data Right, Digital ID or the National Anti-Scams Centre.
- Analyse complex data sets, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
- Undertake problem-solving in dynamic environments, fostering critical thinking.
- Prepare written reports, correspondence, and oral presentations, including material for consideration by Commissioners and the Executive.
In addition to the above, the APS6 Senior Analyst role will:
- Have greater responsibility for own workstreams, as well as managing more complex tasks.
- Supervise and support staff members.
About You
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading a team or similar role in a rapid-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
- Sound analytical, judgement and critical thinking skills.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate, as well as communicate in layman's terms.
- An ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- A sound ability to support productive relationships with stakeholders through collaboration and well-developed interpersonal skills.
- A well-developed understanding of the ACCC’s role and functions and objectives of competition and consumer policy or the ability to gain this knowledge quickly.
In Addition, The Senior Analyst (APS6) Role Will Require
- Highly developed research, analytical, judgement, strategic and conceptual skills.
- The ability to provide accurate, impartial, and forthright advice to colleagues and stakeholders.
- The ability to supervise and support junior staff members.

Salary: APS5 $89,946 - $95,374 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
APS6: $99,562 - $111,590 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
