About the Opportunity This is a client-facing consulting role, focused on delivering sustainability and climate-related financial reporting engagements.
You'll work closely with a cross-disciplinary team to help clients address climate risk, comply with evolving standards, and improve sustainability reporting processes.
The Advisory Team is focused on the provision of subject-matter reporting and finance function advisory to existing and new clients.
As part of this broader team, you'll contribute to outcomes across carbon accounting, sustainability/climate reporting, finance system change, strategic accounting, transaction readiness, and financial governance advisory.
This role offers a clear pathway to Director for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver client engagements related to: Climate-related financial disclosures (TCFD, IFRS S2) Carbon accounting and emissions measurement Gap assessments and roadmap development Scenario analysis, governance, and data transformation Engage with senior executives, including C-suite and Boards, to ensure delivery of tailored, practical solutions aligned with business strategy and reporting requirements.
Oversee teams across engagements, reviewing outputs and mentoring junior consultants to build capability.
Collaborate with other internal teams on cross-functional projects, including finance function transformation and strategic accounting.
Apply project management methodologies to drive high-quality, timely outcomes.
Maintain quality and compliance standards in sustainability services.
What We're Looking For Experience in a Big Four or leading professional services environment (assurance background welcome, but ready to step beyond it).
Strong familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks – ideally with direct experience in TCFD and/or IFRS S2 gap analysis and roadmap development.
Broad knowledge across the reporting value chain – from data capture and systems through to governance and strategy.
Exposure to carbon accounting or climate-related risk assessment is highly desirable (but not essential).
CA or CPA qualification and a relevant tertiary degree.
Strong client relationship skills and the ability to communicate complex topics with clarity and impact.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration experience.
