About the Team
As part of our Technology Operations team, you will work at the intersection of technology, operations, and compliance – designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows that streamline internal processes, reduce manual effort, and support compliance and product operations at scale.
About the Role
As an Automation Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent automation solutions that drive operational efficiency across DHI. You'll turn repetitive, time‐consuming tasks into reliable, automated systems that support our teams and scale with our business.

Key Responsibilities
* Identify manual processes across the organization and begin translating them into scalable automation solutions.
* Design and deploy your first automation workflows using scripting, APIs, and AWS services.
* Partner with Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to understand requirements and deliver automation that aligns with business objectives.
* Document automation processes and system integrations to support operational continuity.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation pipelines.
Ongoing Responsibilities
* Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve automation solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
* Build automations that enforce policy controls and generate audit‐ready compliance outputs.
* Stay current with emerging automation tools, AI capabilities, and industry best practices.
* Support compliance and operational workflows at increasing scale and complexity.
* Function as a key collaborative member of the Technology Operations team.
Requirements
* Hands‐on experience designing and building automation solutions using scripting, APIs, or automation platforms.
* Experience designing, consuming, or developing RESTful APIs and service integrations.
* Strong problem‐solving skills with the ability to break down complex operational challenges into actionable automation solutions.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‐functionally.
Preferred Skills
* Experience working with Sift for fraud detection, risk scoring, or trust and safety operations.
* Familiarity with Claude or other large language model APIs for intelligent automation and workflow augmentation.
* Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools and integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, or similar).
* Understanding of compliance frameworks and the ability to build automations that support regulatory requirements and audit trails.
* Experience in product operations, including tooling, process design, or operational analytics.
Remote (US‐only) Compensation
Base salary: $125,000 - $145,000 USD per year plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance.
